Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting.
Under direct supervision from the Clinical Program Manager, this position provides clinical oversight to five residential treatment homes for the Oasis on Campus Program. The Mental Health Counselor (MHC) lll participates in the training of direct services staff on mental health issues and the needs of the youth; assists in the review of referrals; participates in pre-admission meetings to share and gather pertinent information; and prepares the documentation and prior authorizations for services. The MHC lll will facilitate groups with youth, provide family education and may carry a small caseload for therapy.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and three years of post-master's degree professional mental health counseling experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master's degree and experience as described above.
Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
